Emailing postcard info

I made some changes to images because some of them showed shadows and were a bit darker. That was down to my editing in photoshop. This was the email I sent to Chris Bottomley. I added

I included type of font I wanted, how many postcards I needed and whether they were landscape or portrait because I had to go through each image last time showing him what I wanted

I chose a balance of coloured and black and white images and a balance of work I thought would be good sellers like the animal ones and some pieces from the gallery.

Meeting for shop people

We arranged a meeting with all the students who wanted to sell additions in the exhibition shop. We discussed prices of works and wrote them down, so we would know each others and we made a sold booklet. We also talked about wearing a uniform (Black and white) because this would look more professional. We also talked about how we would speak and act around costumers and visitors.

Drawings hung in the corridor

Work displayed just outside the shop.

The large drawing were dry-mounted ready for framing but we couldn't have it framed because it would have been too expensive. So we decided to hang it in the corridor with the other coloured drawings to sell near the shop. The large drawing is slightly larger than A0, It would cost around £150 to frame.

Hanging posters

My friend made a separate poster for our exhibition on the fourth floor of the Beacon centre because we all agreed that a more simplistic poster for our exhibition would be more appropriate. The style of the poster relates to our minimalist presentation of the exhibition.

We went into town and asked the mall manager if we could display the poster around the mall so that people will be able to see when our exhibition is on.

Displayed one in Molloy's because we planned to go there after our exhibition so people will be able to see the opening times for the public and the shop.

IKEA RIBBA Frames series

I checked the Ikea website to make sure the frames that I wanted were in stock and that I knew exactly what sizes to get for tomorrow when we go to the one in Manchester so we wouldn't run into any problems of not being able to get enough frames, for example.

Frame prices

Visited tilt to ask Abdul for the pricing of my frames that are being hung in the gallery.

My A1 frame cost £97.93 but discounted to £ £78.34

A0 and larger ( some are slightly larger than A0) around £150 to frame

Organised a trip to IKEA for frames

Fortunately my friends were able to get me my frames instead because I had to work
