Blackburn Museum

Vinai Solanki - Modern curator at the Blackburn Museum/Gallery

Jamie talked about using Blackburn Museum for our experimental project or as a starting point. Choose anything in the gallery that has an influence, a visual connection or an emotional connection and develop work through drawing, photography, music, video, media or textiles. Ideas to be written down in journals.

The birds, beetles and the butterflies particularly appealed to me because of the visual connection.

'Allo Rapsody'

'Ronald Webb is a well regarded artist who exhibited at the museum in 2009. His show was a selection of paintings done to the music of Kathleen Ferrier. The painting represents her singing Allo Rhapsody, which can be heard on mp3.
